Local Heavyweight Champ Magnum McLaren Loses Title Match

Sudbury, ON – In a shocking turn of events last night, Project X Wrestling – Local heavyweight champ Magnum McLaren lost his title in a ladder match.

It was a punishing night – As local champ Magnum McLaren suffered a stunning defeat in his hometown by a revenging rival, Aiden Prince. The two had met previously where Magnum McLaren was assaulted and took a bottle to the head landing him in hospital. The unfinished business was revisited last night at Project X Wrestling, Revenge.

An action packed evening, last night September 20th in the upper hall of the Caruso club (7pm start) where a staggering and rowdy crowd gathered in Sudbury’s West End. The event was hosted by MPP Jamie West who was fair and generous dishing out merch, and Sudbury Five TShirts to the loudest screamers.

Battle for Supremacy

Local pro wrestlers and imported talent from around the world took to the ring in a battle for supremacy. Several tag team matches included, a bout with a vegan health preacher, armed with a stalk of celery – HipStar was embarrassingly and brutally overtaken by a girl, the heroic sensation, NOVA – A feminine of rare skill – And even a pair of 10 year old twin brothers harassing each other in a lightning speed match.

The twins are known to have promising careers ahead, and a powerful ally – Being the two younger brothers of local champ Magnum McLaren – If they can get along as family dispute reigns supreme in the world of pro wrestling.

Lets Go Magnum

No one suspected Magnum would lose. He was easily dominating the match, after cracking a chair over his opponents body several times and throwing him off the ring snapping a ladder in half – The crowd roared and foamed at the mouth chanting ‘Lets go Magnum’ as he pulled a full sized door out from under the ring, intending to break it over his opponents body. No one could have anticipated what came next.

The door was used against him, in a shocking turn of events Magnum himself was projected into the door and absolutely shattering it to pieces. The punishment became clear as two additional villains – His own brother included – Emerged from the dark in a sinister plot.

A Sinister Plot

A 3 on 1 unfair advantage followed, as 2 sneaky rats crawled out of the gutter to handcuff Magnum McLaren to the ring post in front of a stupefied crowd. This complete, The Deathwish Aiden Prince bought time and freedom to re-position the ladder center ring, climb to the top unchallenged and claim the heavyweight championship belt for himself, as it was suspended from the rafters all along in this ladder match.

Make no mistake – This cowardly act of defiance was a steal – A rigged plot to take the Magnum down – Something Aiden Prince could never do on his own.

The referee was shakingly afraid to do the right thing and stop this crime, fearing the devastating consequence.

A Well Planned Conspiracy

It was, to say the least – A vicious disappointment. As always, it takes a cheater, a well planned conspiracy and lies to defeat a real champion. In a fair fight, the dark doesn’t stand a chance. Survival of the wicked – Last nights show was not a happy ending as evil prevailed.

Stay tuned, as Project X Wrestling is a starship in the making and the plot thickens, the story will evolve, truth will come out and there will be an answer.

This was a real shocker.
