*Update March 15 2023 – 610 fish newly added yesterday, tiger trout, rainbow trout, brown trout. Sunday last day 11am-3pm
The Sudbury Game and Fish Protective Association is bringing fishing pleasure back to life after two years of absence due to covid. From March 9th to March 19th 2023, we will have a fish pond inside the Southridge Mall during Mall hours.
Bring the kids, grand-parents and parents as well to try your luck at catching a rainbow trout from our pool. This is a perfect outing for the March break. This is bringing fresh fish home for dinner!
Come to relive your own memories and show them how it is done, great for the whole family. This rainbow trout pond is our club’s main fundraiser. The proceeds are used to maintain club property and for various conservation projects in the community. SGAF promotes catch and release, however that is not to say that you can not take a trout home for dinner. This is a perfect outing for kids and family. There will be over 1000 hungry fish placed in the 18 foot pool. So come on out and try to get the difficult “Big One” out of the pool. Our ideals and goals will be proudly passed on to our children and their children after them.
After the March break the pond is taken down and the remaining fish are removed and brought to a local lake approved by the Ministry of Natural Resources. The Tanks with air are available to local community organizations where there is a need to transport live fish.
