The John Hazen Memorial Indoor Fishpond Is Back @ Countryside Arena!
The Sudbury Game and Fish Protective Association is excited to bring indoor fishing fun back to Greater Sudbury! From March 12–22, 2026, the beloved Annual SGAF Indoor Fishpond returns — now at the Gerry McCrory Countryside Sports Complex, 235 Countryside Dr.
Event Hours
March 12–22
- 9 AM – 8 PM daily
- Final day (Sun, March 22): Fishpond closes at 12 PM
Admission
- $5 per time slot or 3 for $10
- Cash, debit, and credit accepted
A Family Tradition
Step up to our 21‑foot rainbow trout pond and create memories that last a lifetime. Kids love the excitement, and adults enjoy reliving their own childhood moments. With hundreds of hungry trout in the pool, there’s always a chance to land “the big one.”
- Catch‑and‑release is encouraged
- You can take home a trout for dinner
- Proceeds support conservation projects as well as the purchasing of micro-hatcheries for schools in the area.
- Catch a tagged fish and win $100 cash!
Community Commitment
After March Break, remaining fish are safely transported to a local lake approved by the Ministry of Natural Resources.
