Performed by two choirs, two vocal soloists and 13 SSO musicians, Fauré’s timeless Requiem offers listeners a transcendent glimpse of the divine, presented in the intimate setting and beautiful acoustic of St. Andrews Place.
Edward Elgar’s Serenade for Strings fits beautifully with the Fauré and in fact the two works were composed within a year of each other.
